Posters pt.1

Posters pt.1

I wanted to use these posters to explore how far I’d come as a designer, and how much I still had to go, and I also wanted to try to create things that were not solely digital but instead could be physically present with me, so I themed some of these posters around songs I like, or the place I come from. Because arriving in a new country and staring at the blank walls was a bit too bleak.

Print & Poster Design

My workflow during this period was pretty much just waking up, getting some coffee and toasts, eating and drinking said coffee and toasts whilst listening to my playlist on shuffle and basing my posters on whatever came on. Then after my coffee (which was really chocolate milk but I want to sound a bit less like I’m 8 years old), I got on my desk and designed whatever my little heart desired.

I believe this sort of workflow is where I feel the most at home and I had so much fun making every single one of these (and I also impressed myself that I was able to keep it up for around half a month without fail).

You can find all of my posters scattered throughout my Behance and Instagram, and also on my Redbubble store which I opened mostly because I don’t do very well with printing and shipping, and some of my Portuguese friends and family wanted the posters for their rooms.

I had just settled in Denmark and it dawned on me how dull and uninspired my day-to-day work was at my current job.

I had a lot of ideas I wanted to experiment with, I wanted to look more into typography, photography, Swiss grids, and the best way I had to explore all this and let my creativity run wild was to create a poster a day.
